a cooking experiment: five recipes, five days, one ingredient
This is the most honest way to showcase seasonal fruit. A galette. This is a very stripped-down recipe, but you could any number of the following: add cinnamon or another favorite spice to the fruit, dot the pastry with almond paste before adding the fruit, brush the pastry with egg and sprinkle with coarse sugar, substitute the vanilla for almond extract, mix up the fruit with berries or other stone fruit….the list goes on!
